Welcome to Southern Cadence Press!
Located in the foothills of the Arkansas Ozarks, we are dedicated to bringing young adults and children quality literature from a Biblical and Southern perspective.

Finally, it has arrived. Bryce's new release, The Orphan and the Beaten Drum is now available. From five years of writing and research, Bryce compiled the framework for the fictional hero, Roger Mills, an orphan boy who joins the war as a drummer and later finds himself on the staff of Stonewall Jackson. Prepare to march into the past as you step to the drum roll of the 19th century South.

Bryce A. Chandler is the author of A Courier for Stonewall and The Orphan and the Beaten Drum. He has home-schooled his whole life and will, this fall, be pursuing an online degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He plays both the fife and drum during re-enactments of the War for Southern Independence and travels to libraries and schools to speak with kids about the war. He resides with his family in Northeast Arkansas and is now writing his third book, a sequel to The Orphan and the Beaten Drum.
